This chapter authorizes the court to refer parties in any civil case to a free orientation session on alternative dispute resolution methods, where they work with a neutral intake specialist to explore their options and determine if ADR is an option for their case. The chapter also sets guidelines for neutral qualifications and duties, as well as confidentiality for communication made in dispute resolution proceedings.
