This rule governs family mediations. Under this rule, the court on its own motion or on the motion of a party may order the parties to participate in mediation of any of the issue(s) involved in their case. If both parties are represented by counsel, then the mediation will be conducted by a mediator of the parties' choice. If the parties are unable to agree on a mediator or if one of the parties is self-represented, then the mediator will be selected from the Family Division Mediation Program's list of mediators.
