This report provides an overview of the Oregon Office for Community Dispute Resolution, which supports 20 community dispute resolution centers throughout the state. For the 2007-2009 period, the centers saw 29,994 people involved in 10,998 mediation cases, of which 90 percent of participants reported being very satisfied or satisfied with the process. Thirty-two percent of cases mediated were court connected, 23 percent were neighbor to neighbor disputes, 14 percent were victim/offender reconciliation cases and 12 percent of the mediations were family cases. Eighty-six percent of the mediations resulted in agreements, and all or some of the provisions of those agreements have been followed in 85 percent of the cases. The report also includes new information about grantmaking opportunities as well as contact information for the 20 community dispute resolution centers.
