This document sets forth various policies for state neutrals and trainers. All mediator applicants are required to take 40 hours of general civil training. All mediators are also encouraged to make themselves available for pro bono mediation and all approved continuing mediation education providers and trainers are encouraged to announce that state mediators are encouraged to engage in pro bono mediation. The policies also address application fees, trainer fees, out-of-state mediators seeking to become Tennesse mediators, and mediator reports to the ADR Commission.
