Supreme Court of Wyoming Civil Procedure Rule 16: Pretrial Conferences; Scheduling; Management

Under this rule, the court may, in its discretion, direct parties in any action to appear for a conference in order to increase trial preparation, expedite disposition, and facilitate settlement. The rule outlines procedures for entering scheduling orders to set time limits for various activities, as well as procedures for conducting a pretrial conference, including a list of subjects to be discussed. Further, the rule discusses procedures for the final pretrial conference, pretrial orders, and sanctions for failing to obey a scheduling or pretrial order or for failure to appear at or participate in a conference.
