This statute sets communications made during mediation proceedings as privileged and prohibits mediators from being compelled to testify as to those communications except in certain situations. These include cases where the communication is an imminent threat to commit a violent crime, is offered in response to a claim of mediator misconduct, or is necessary to prevent injustice and is not available otherwise, among other situations.
