This report describes the work of the New York Community Dispute Resolution Centers Program (CDRCP) from April 1, 2008, through March 31, 2009. In 2008-2009, the centers mediated or utilized other dispute resolution processes for 21,550 cases, of which 30 percent were civil cases, 28 percent were custody/visitation/divorce and 11 percent of the cases were criminal. According to the report, 76 percent of conciliated, mediated or arbitrated cases resulted in an agreement or final decision in 2008-2009. Finally, the report addresses issues of funding, qualifications and training, among other topics.
