Rule 16 of these rules addresses settlement conferences in civil appeals. This rule states that cases on civil appeal 'in which all parties are represented by counsel and that do not involve termination of parental rights may be assigned to the settlement conference program.' The rule addresses issues of attendance, confidentiality and sanctions, among other topics.
