Nevada Revised Statutes Ch. 3, Sections 3.475 and 3.500: Mediation of Cases Involving Custody or Visitation of Child

Nevada Legislature. Jan. 1, 2018
http://www.leg.state.nv.us/NRS/NRS-003.html#NRS003Sec475

These sections require district courts in counties with populations of more than 100,000 people to establish mandatory mediation programs for disputes involving child custody or visitation issues. Those counties with smaller populations may also establish such programs, but are not required to. The sections also stipulate that the rules governing the mediation programs must address exemptions from mandatory mediation referrals, mediator training and qualifications, confidentiality of mediation proceedings, and mediation fee schedules.
