The Policy for Approval of Parenting Act Mediators was developed by the Nebraska State Court Administrator's office pursuant to Nebraska Revised Statute 43-2937(1). Section I outlines necessary qualifications for individuals to mediate under the Parenting Act and states that the Office of Dispute Resolution is charged with developing and maintaining a roster of qualified mediators. Section II of the policy outlines training and education requirements for Parenting Act mediators, including training programs and apprenticeships. Section III addresses continuing education for mediators and Section IV discusses mediator status and grievance processes.
