Montana Code 25-40-1: Uniform Collaborative Law Act

Montana General Assembly . Jan. 1, 2017
https://leg.mt.gov/bills/mca/title_0250/chapter_0400/part_0010/section_0040/0250-0400-0010-0040.html

This statute outlines Montana's collaborative law process. Collaborative law participation agreements must be signed by both parties and state the parties intentions to resolve their dispute through a collaborative process. The collaborative process will begin when parties sign a collaborative law participation agreement and will end a party either gives notice to the other participating party that the process has terminated or when a party initiates a pleading or motion in court. All communications made during the collaborative process will remain confidential unless both parties agree to waive confidentiality.
