This section states that the court may refer parties in any residential tenancy case to mediation. Parties must participate in good faith and, if an agreement is reached, it must be written, signed and presented to the court. If a mediator is unavailable or a mediation would cause a delay in hearing the case, the court cannot order mediation unless "the parties consent to a delay in the proceedings to allow mediation to take place."
