Maine Rules of Civil Procedure: Rule 92 - Court Alternative Dispute Resolution Service

Maine Judicial Branch. Oct. 26, 2018
https://www.courts.maine.gov/rules_adminorders/rules/mr_civ_p_plus_index.html

This rule outlines general guidelines and requirements for the state's Court Alternative Dispute Resolution Service. It addresses ADR requirements for civil, family, and small claims disputes, as well as land use and natural gas pipeline matters and forcible entry and detainer actions. For each case type, the rule addresses how cases are referred to CADRS, whether participation in an ADR process is required, how neutrals are selected, the scheduling and location of ADR sessions, and compensation and fees to be paid to the court and/or neutral. In family cases, mediation is required for contested divorce, parental rights, judicial separation, and child support disputes. Mediation may also be required for small claims disputes and forcible entry and detainer actions.
