Iowa Mediation Service is a non-profit organization that provides mediation, arbitration and focus group facilitation services. It also provides mediation training. It has five offices in the state and has handled over 28,000 cases since it was created in 1985. In 2007, Iowa Mediation Service established a joint program with the Iowa Attorney General's Office to provide mediation services for residential foreclosures in the state.
