Under Rule 22.12(7) Senior judges, retired judges assigned to temporary judicial service, and retired senior judges assigned to temporary judicial service may not serve as arbitrators or mediators during their judicial service or at a time when it might interfere with their judicial service. They also may not use the title "judge" or "senior judge" when acting as an arbitrator or mediator. Judges may not serve as an arbitrator or mediator in a case in which they are currently presiding, and they must disclose all conflicts of interest with the parties. Judges who do serve as arbitrators or mediators must file quarterly reports of their activities with the court.
