Parties to business and technology disputes in which at least one party is a business entity formed in Delaware and no party is a consumer may petition the court to mediate their dispute. In cases involving only monetary disputes, the amount in controversy must exceed $1 million to be eligible for mediation. When parties submit a petition for mediation and pay a filing fee, the court assigns a mediator, who may be a sitting judge or master of the Chancery Court. The rules discuss mediation conference procedures, attendance requirements at mediation, confidentiality guidelines and mediator immunity.
