Under this rule, the court may order parties to participate in a settlement conference, at any time after a notice of appeal is filed, on its own motion or in response to a motion from a party. The rule outlines procedures for the conduct of the conference, including location, use of settlement briefs, and withdrawal/termination of settlement proceedings. Rules are also given for selection of neutrals, confidentiality and post-resolution orders.
