Arkansas Youth Mediation Program Act

Arkansas Legislature. Jul. 1, 1999
http://www.lexisnexis.com/hottopics/arcode/Default.asp

Arkansas Code Subtitle 3, Chapter 1, Subchapter 4 establishes the Arkansas Youth Mediation Program, whose duties include operating pilot mediation programs in schools and providing "training and technical assistance for circuit courts to mediate dependency-neglect cases as the courts deem appropriate," among others. Some goals of the program include a decreased level of cost to the individual and the public, a more constructive form of conflict resolution for youth and a reduction of court dockets and delays. The Program will be operated and housed at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Law and the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville School of Law.
