21st Judicial Circuit of Illinois Local Rules, Part 9: Divorce Mediation Program Rules of Procedure

21st Judicial Circuit of Illinois. Jan. 1, 2007
http://www.co.kankakee.il.us/21stJudicial/pdf/Rules.pdf

Under these rules, all cases filed in Kankakee County involving child custody, visitation and removal may be referred to mediation if the presiding judge determines that it is appropriate. Parties may also choose to mediate other relevant issues, including child support and child-related expenses. The rules address mediator duties, qualifications and ethical guidelines. The rules also outline procedures for referral and conducting mediation sessions, and set confidentiality guidelines for communications made during mediation.
