19th Judicial Circuit Local Rules Chapter 3-1.08 Small Claims Mediation

19th Judicial Circuit Court of Illinois. May. 1, 2012
https://www.19thcircuitcourt.state.il.us/1969/Part-100-Small-Claims

This rule authorizes the court to provide mediation services for small claims and law magistrate disputes involving pro se litigants. Judges may also refer small claims and law magistrate cases to mediation if they believe it would be appropriate. Mediators will be present in the courtroom on the day of the small claims and law magistrate calls. The judge will refer appropriate cases for immediate mediation or schedule a later date for mediation. Mediators are volunteers who are members of the Lake County Bar Association and have completed court-approved training. The rule also addresses mediation procedures, good faith, attendance and confidentiality.
