Resource Center Director
Nicole Wilmet joined the RSI staff March 2017 as Resource Center Director. In this role, she is the court ADR information guru. As the Resource Center Director, she responds to court ADR inquires and also researches, writes and publishes information on RSI’s online resources, including RSI’s Resource Center, Just Court ADR blog and Court ADR Connection e-newsletter. Additionally, Nicole updates and maintains RSI's social media platforms on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
Nicole received her J.D. from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law, where she was first introduced to mediation by participating in the school's Mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Clinic. Nicole was trained as a mediator and approved to mediate through the Center for Conflict Resolution. Through this opportunity, Nicole mediated small claims cases in the Circuit Court of Cook County and saw first-hand the success of mediation. This experience further enhanced her passion for access to justice and interest in ADR.
Prior to law school, Nicole earned a B.A. in Communications and English Literature from DePauw University. Outside of her interest in mediation, Nicole is passionate about studying and writing about the communicative, ethical and legal effects of bullying and cyberbullying.
